Meat recovered
PA Auckland The police have recovered a small part of a $lOO,OOO load of stolen meat after raiding 15 South Auckland homes. A team of detectives executed search warrants on the homes on Sunday night and recovered $6OOO worth of frozen meat.
The huge load of export meat, packed in 500 cartons, was taken last week when it was switched from a refrigerated truck-trailer unit to another truck in Win. Ten people faces charges of receiving the stolen meat and other property, including video-recorders and a television.
