NZPA-AP Peking The white-tailed sea eagle, long thought extinct, has been discovered in a nature reserve in north-east China, says the official Xinhua news agency. The agency said local scientists also reported see-

ing the rare Kamchatkan sea eagle, small-billed capercaillie, and black grouse in the Honghe Marsh reserve in Heilongjiang province. The 30,000 ha (74,119-acre) marshland reserve is the first of its kind in China.
