Coastal Trader fire

PA Auckland The Coastal Trader limped into Auckland Harbour yesterday after an electrical fire damaged an engine off the Bay of Plenty. The New Zealand Shipping Corporation vessel was

sailing to Lyttelton with roll-on roll-off cargo when its starboard engine developed a fault on Sunday. Engine room staff quickly controlled the fire but officials decided to return to Auckland for permanent repairs.
