Forbury suspensions

PA Dunedin Two drivers were suspended and two horses disqualified from the Wilson Handicap, the opening event at the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting on Thursday night. Ali Malcolmson and Carl Markham were suspended up to and including April 28 for careless driving. Stylish Bui was disqualified from first place and Kotare Inca from third. Kotare Inca had been promoted from fourth to third. Malcolmson drove Kotare Inca, which was found by the stipendiary steward to have moved in at the 1100 m and taken the front feet from under Mac’s Gift, which was in the lead. Stylish Bui, driven by Markham, was found to have caused similar interference to Mac’s Gift at the 1000 m. Devil’s Daughter, which bled during the Napier Handicap, was stood down from racing until May 18.
