The company Is part of the Fulton Hogan Holdings Group. THE POSITION The position is for an Engineer, based in Alexandra, who will cover the Central Otago area of our operations. The work covers the site work and control of highway, county road and streetwork contracts and their related administration. A high level of contact with Consulting and Government engineers is involved. An attractive remuneration will be offered. THE PERSON The person we are looking for will have had several years experience in civil engineering work, with preferably a strong practical reading background. This position is re-ad-vertised as our recently appointed accountant is leaving due to family reasons. Also a provision allowance of $40.00 per week is provided. In return the accountant is required to work an 8.30 - 5.30 six day week. The suitable applicant will have prior experience in E.D.P. input work, receivables, payables, creditors, wage preparation and office supervisory skills. Ideally the successful applicant would also have experience In hotel front office accounting systems and machines. The accountant’s office has a permanent staff of two account clerks. However, the accountant has a staffing responsibility for all accounting functions of the hotel operations. A Sord microcomputer is used in the preparation of in-house systems and suspense account reconciliations. The position will suit a younger person wanting a secure position, offering a challenge. The “live-in" package enables good savings opportunities. The Hermitage location makes it unsuitable for an applicant with school age children.
