iFfeere am I?’ A teen-age heart transplant patient, Fiona Coote, was taken off a respirator in St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney, yesterday and her first words to her parents were: “Where am I?” She then asked: “What hospital am I in?” Fiona’s condition is still listed as critical but satisfactory. She received a new heart on Sunday.— Sydney. Children sold A Portuguese peasant woman, aged 38, who has has just given birth to her 25th child has disclosed that her husband had sold all but one of her earlier offspring to barren parents. The “Daily Telegraph” newspaper’s Lisbon correspondent said reports from the Algarve area had indicated that the husband had fled with a lynching party in pursuit. Corina de Palma Bras said that she believed her husband, a farm labourer, had sold the children for about £5OOO ($10,850) each. She complained that all he wanted from her was “more children.” — London.
