A photograph and story that appeared in “The Press” yesterday, showing proposed alterations to Victoria Square, incorrectly described the land available for commercial development. The photograph above shows, approximately, the area for which development proposals have been invited. The area is bordered by the Christchurch Town Hall, Kilmore Street, Durham Street and the Salvation Army Citadel. It includes that part of Victoria Street which is to be stopped and existing commercial premises that would be demolished.
