Rowing appointment
PA Auckland A former president of the New Zealand Rowing Association, Mr Don Rowlands, has been appointed technical advisor for the rowing events at the Los Angeles Olympic Games. Mr Rowlands has made several trips to Lake Casitas in California over the last two years supervising
the laying of the Olympic course for both rowing and canoeing on behalf of the International Rowing Federation (F.1.5.A.).
On the recommendation of the president of F.1.5.A., Mr Thomas Keller, the Olympic Committee has appointed Mr Rowlands official adviser during the Games regatta.
