Mineral fuel imports drop 27 per cent
PA Wellington The value of orders for mineral fuels placed
overseas by private importers dropped 27 per cent in the six months to January 31 compared with the previous six months, said the Statistics Department Orders to January were worth $609 million, compared with SB3IM to July, 1983.
January orders apart from mineral fuels in January totalled $226M, compared with December’s S2SOM, a drop of 9.8 per cent.
Payments for private imports for the year ending July, 1984, are projected to be $6764M, an increase of 16 per cent over actual payments of ?5853M for the year to July, 1983.
