First-flight date-stamp

Special pictorial datestamps will be used in Wellington next month to postmark covers carried on two inaugural Air New Zealand Boeing 737 flights. One of the special datestamps will be used on April 2 for covers on a flight from Wellington to Nukualofa and Apia. The other will be used the next day for covers on a flight from Wellingto Nandi, Rarotonga, and Papeete. The covers will be back date-stamped at the final destination.

Anyone wishing to have covers . date-stamped and carried on either flight should send a stamped, addressed envelope to the Chief Postmaster in Well-

ington by March 30 for the April 2 flight or by April 1 for the April 3 flight. The outer wrapper should be addressed: Air New Zealand Inaugural flight cover Appl 2 (or 3).

Covers should bear the appropriate air postage rate from New Zealand to the country of destination. For covers with New Zealand addresses, the rate is 40c.
