Selwyn ford reopened
The ford at the Selwyn River bridge on State highway 1 was reopened yesterday. The ford, which was being used as a by-pass while work is carried out on the bridge, was closed earlier this month because of the high river level. While the ford was closed, the bridge had to be reopened.
The Automobile Association (Canterbury) reported that the ford was opened again from noon yesterday to allow work to continue on the bridge.
