Cathedral dedicated

PA Wellington An 83-year wait by Wellington’s Catholic community ended last evening when Cardinal Williams solemnly dedicated the Hill Street Basilica as the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.

Wellington’s first Catholic cathedral was opened by Bishop Viard on Christmas Day.. 1867, and destroyed by lB9B.
