Everton and Watford in Cup semi-finals
NZPA-Reuter London Second-half goals by Andy Gray, of Everton, and Les Taylor and John Barnes, of Watford, earned these first division clubs a place in the semi-finals of the English Football Association Cup on Saturday. Gray’s effort gave Everton a 2-1 quarter-final win over Notts County and Taylor and Barnes, on target twice in two minutes, enabled Watford to dismiss Birmingham. 3-1, in the other all-first-division tie.
