Public Notices WAIMAIRI DISTRICT BY-LAW 1984 No. 1 PUBLIC notice Is hereby given that pursuant to the powers vested In It by the Transport Act 1962 and the Local Government Act 1974, and amendments thereto and each and every other power and authority thereunto enabling It the Walmalrl District Council at Its Ordinary Meeting held on February 15, 1984, in the Council Chambers, Fendalton, resolved by way of Special Order to make a bylaw, the short title of which Is: "Walmalrl District By-law 1984 No. 1" The object and purport of this by-law Is to impose a 60 kilometre per hour speed limit over the portion of Memorial Avenue generally northwest of Its Intersection with Greers Road to a point measured 600 metres generally northwest of the Intersection of Memorial Avenue and Roydvale Avenue. Further notice Is given that a Special Resolution relating to the above matter will be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held at 7 p.m., on Wedneday, March 21,1984, in the Council Chambers, Fendalton, for confirmation as a Special Order. North Canterbury Catchment Board & Regional Water Board WIND EROSION CONTROL GRANT FOR WINDBREAK TREE PLANTING APPLICATIONS for grant assistance In the 1984 planting season to establish Windbreaks to prevent soil erosion by wind action will be received by the Board up until Friday, March 30, 1984. The grant is payable on approved schemes on the preparation of the ground, the cost of trees and the planting of trees and protective fencing from stock. The rate of grant Is 60 per cent, subject to agreement that special cultivation and management practices will be carried out.
