Changes to health camps?
PA Wellington The child health camp movement should either be disbanded or changed to meet the needs of the children, says the Wellington Hospital Board.
The board has recommended big changes to the Government committee reviewing the future of the seven camps run by the Children’s Health Camp Board.
The Hospital board said the health camp movement recognised the physical, social, and emotional needs of children but it did not seem to realise that children were not fully independent and separate from their families.
