President condemned
A military tribunal has sentenced the former Cameroon President, Ahmadou Ahidjo, and two of his close aides to death for plotting to assassinate his successor, Paul Biya. Mr Ahidjo is in exile in France, but his aides, Squadron Leader Ibrahim Oumarou, and Captain Salatou Adamou, appeared in court. The tribunal ruled that the executions by firing squad should be public but it did not set a date. — Yaounde.
