Man hit by car
A man, aged 24, suffered serious head and leg injuries after being struck by a car on the Main North Road outside the Pizza Hut in Papanui about 9.20 p.m. yesterday. The man, whose name was not available, was in a serious condition in the in-tensive-care unit at Christchurch Hospital last evening.
