Price increases approved
PA Wellington Eight approvals for increases under the price freeze hardship regulations were granted last week, said the secretary of Trade and Industry today. Four applications were declined and eight were withdrawn. During the same time six hardship applications were received. The department also completed investigation of 58 complaints and found that 78 per cent of the prices charged were in order. Applications approved included.— Bristol House, Christchurch, an increase of 10 per cent on accommodation charges; Hugh B. Bower and Company, Christchurch, an increase of 35 per cent on blinds and folding doors. Dispensation under regulation UB: Walker Products, Ltd, Christchurch, aluminium products.
