Big U.S. win for Lord Dalrae
The former Southland pacer, Lord Dalrae, won the $50,000 Fireball Series Final at Hollywood Park at the week-end. The son of Sir Dalrae paced the mile in imin 56.45, taking his record in the United States to one win, three seconds and a fourth from five starts.
He is trained by a former Brisbane trainer, Ross Croghan, who was in New Zealand in November. His sale to North America was negotiated by Mr Peter Larkin, of Ashburton.
