‘Zipper Club’ launched
A support group for parents of children with congenital heart defects was formed in Christchurch on Thursday.
About 30 people met to launch the “Zipper Club,” which will be run under the umbrella of the Crippled Children Society. “It hopes to provide babysitting contacts, someone to listen to you, someone who has been through it and can show you how you can go through it, collect information and try to encourage co-ordination,” said Mrs J. M. Papesch, of the society. A small development group, formed on Thursday, will meet again in March to plan the next few steps of organising and running the group.
