Notice Is hereby given that for the purpose of allowing a Pipe Band Parade, on Sunday 19 Februry, 1984, the following roads will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder;— ROADS TO BE CLOSED (within Darfleld township) No. 1 — Thornton Street from Cardale Street to State Highway 73. No. 2— State Highway 73 from Thornton Street to Holmes street Inclusive. No. 3 — Holmes street from State Highway 73 to North Terrace. No. 4 — The ends of all streets at their intersection with the closed part of State Highway 73, l.e. ends of Ross, Bray, Clinton, and Russell Streets. PERIOD OF CLOSURE 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sunday 19 February, 1984. During the period of closure the following provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the road. No. 1 — A sign posted detour Is available via Rltso, Cardale, Greendale, McLaughlins and Bangor Road. No. 2— An alternative detour Is available via Mathias Street/North Terrace. It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorized permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure. B. Security Coverage, Limited, NEW ZEALAND WALKWAY OPENING PORT ROBINSON WALKWAY THIS walkway, which runs from the Hurunul River mouth to Gore Bay along the Cheviot coast, Is to be opened by Mr R. Sloss, Chairman of the Cheviot County Council, on Sunday, February 19 at 12 noon. The public is Invited to attend the opening ceremony and enjoy the outstanding scenic, historical and recreational features that the walkway offers. The venue for the opening will be the northern entrance to the walkway, at the southern end of the Gore Bay beach. An Inaugural walk will be held after the opening ceremony.
