Stab wound
PA Hamilton The police investigating the killing of a Waitakaruru youth at Miranda, Firth of Thames, on Wednesday night have confirmed that he died of a stab wound to the neck. The police yesterday named him as Basil Orman Thomas, aged 19. The head of the Hamilton C. 1.8., Mr P. M. Faulkner, said that a post-morten examination on Thursday evening had confirmed the cause of death. About 280 people had attended a concert there the evening before. Mr Faulkner said yesterday detectives had interviewed a number of con-cert-goers and believed Mr Thomas died about 10.30 p.m. while the concert was in progress. An appeal for concertgoers to get in touch with the police had met with a good response so for, but the police wanted to hear from every person who was there.
