Japanese diplomatic change
Mr Tomoji Aoki, who has succeeded Mr Fumio Takeuchi as the Consular Affairs Officer of Japan in Christchurch. Mr Aoki has been in Japan’s diplomatic service for 40 years. He was previously in charge of the consular sections of the Embassy of Japan in Bangkok. Earlier, he worked in Canada and Italy. Mr Takeuchi, who has been in Christchurch for more than two years, will become a consul in Cairo, where he served in the Japanese Embassy six years ago.
