Lawyer jailed
A Hong Kong lawyer who went to Peking two years ago for cancer treatment has been jailed for 15 years by the Chinese authorities on spying charges, American newspapers report. Hanson Huang, aged 33, has been missing since he resigned from his job in Hong Kong in January, 1982, saying that he was going to China for cancer treatment. Hong Kong papers later said that he had been imprisoned for passing confidential documents on China’s energy resources to the United States.—New York.
