Paterson wins play-off
PA Hastings Brent Paterson, aged 23, the Christchurch player, yesterday won the national junior men’s golf title at Hastings after a four-way play-off which went to three extra holes on the exacting Bridge Pa course. Paterson, runner-up in the 1983 -Australian amateur and Canteirbury’s number one in
the successful Freyburg Rosebowl side, started the tournament disastrously on Saturday with an eight-over-par round of 80.
