Watene Poutu, aged 35, unemployed, pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared before Judge Borrin.
The police prosecutor, Sergeant I. F Carmichael, said that Poutu had appeared on Thursday before Judge Laing for sentence on three charges of wilful damage and two charges of theft.
When the sentence of two months imprisonment on each charge was announced, Poutu called out obscenities and dropped his trousers partly, revealing his buttocks in full view of the Court, he said. Poutu was intoxicated at the time, said Sergeant Carmichael.
Judge Borrin ordered immediate payment of the $3OO fine, or the defendant would be imprisoned for 28 days.
