These are two new, senior positions in Council’s Health Department and the persons we are seeking will be experienced Health Inspectors who wish to be fully utilised in all facets of environmental and public health. Supervising Animal Control Officer Applications are Invited for the position of Supervising Animal Control Officer in the City Health Department. This is a new position encompassing the department’s hydatids and dog control, dog ranging and animal impounding activities. The job holder will be in charge of an animal control section of the department and will be responsible for its over-all coordination and efficiency. The person we are seeking is self motivated, has good organisational and supervisory ability and good communicative skills, both written and oral. A background in local authority work of a similar nature and/or qualifications in hydatids control would be an advantage as would knowledge of data processing systems at user level. Salary for the position is in the $16,798-$18,183 range, dependent on the appointees qualifications and experience.
