House, flat damaged by fire
A Fendalton house was severely damaged by fire last evening. Two Fire Service appliances took more than an hour to put out the fire at 324 Clyde Road. No-one was hurt and the cause of the fire was not known.
The same two appliances, from Harewood and St Albans, had just returned from a fire in Bishopdale when they were called to the Clyde Road house. A flat in Manuel Place, Bishopdale, suffered moderate damage from fire. It was occupied, but no-one was hurt.
