Top-flight archer in Chch
The world’s leading woman archer, Kim Jin Ho, of South Korea, takes aim while practising at the University of Canterbury sports grounds yesterday afternoon. Kim, who has come to New Zealand for the AsiaOceania target archery championships, won the world championship at Long Beach, California, last October.
in the world championship event she broke four world championship records, winning the title easily with a score of 2616 points. Yesterday, overseas competitors familiarised themselves with the range at Ham, where the AsiaOceania championships will begin on Thursday. The meeting will last four days. Archers from seven countries, China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia, are expected to compete.
