Meat talks planned

PA Wellington The Meat Board would hold meetings with farmers each year to discuss the industry and, in particular, the marketing of meat, said the chairman, Mr Adam Begg. “Now that the board is taking on a much larger role in the co-ordination of sheepmeat marketing, it is

vital that producers are given an opportunity to hear direct from the board about progress in these areas and be able to make comments and suggestions,” he said. It was envisaged that there be at least one meeting in each electoral district, and that the meetings take place during March and April.
