Wine tasting
Sir, — It is easy to understand the uphill battle faced by the Action Against Alcohol Abuse in attempting to re-educate the public about the myths and misuse of alcohol when one becomes aware of the part played by such groups as the Canterbury Wine and FoodSociety whose first wine tasting competition received a front page photograph and story. If the interests of such a group of “highlytrained members belonging to a sophisticated society of their own” must be printed for the general public, perhaps they should more appropriately appear on a page of liquor advertising. — Yours, etc., RUTHANNE WHITE. November 30, 1983.
