Robber had knife
A Richmond man had a knife drawn on him on Sunday by a person who arrived at his home and said he wanted to view an engine which was for sale.
The vendor had invited the man into his River Road house but fled when the knife was drawn. He called the police but when he
returned the man had left, taking a video recorder. The threatened man was not hurt in the incident, which occurred at 4.45 p.m. The robber is described as a Maori, in his mid-20s, about 182 cm (6ft) tall, with short black hair. He wore overalls and steel-capped boots.
