Recycled glass price up
PA Wellington The price paid for recycled glass has been increased from $l3 to $23 a tonne.
Mr John Webber, community affairs manager of New Zealand Glass Manufacturers, said the glass recycling centres throughout New Zealand were returning about 32 per cent of the total glass produced and because of the viability of recycling the company was now able to offer more for returned cullet. He said that it was worth while financially and environmentally to encourage recycling and it was hoped the price increase would caqae more glass to be
