PA New Plymouth A century by Brent Lahood highlighted Taranaki’s outright win over Wanganui at Pukekura Park, New Plymouth, in a Hawke Cup elimination cricket match on Saturday. Lahood made 110, many of his runs coming in an opening stand of 129 with his captain, lan Snook.

Taranaki declared at 363 for eight wickets, a lead of

193 runs, and then the pace of Gary Robertson and the left-arm spin of Mark O’Neill had Wanganui all out in the second innings for 162, giving Taranaki the win by an innings and 32 runs.
