Ford’s open-top car
Ford’s first open-top car in Europe for 20 years made its debut at the London Motorfair ’B3. It is the Escort Cabriolet and it comes in two versions, one based on the Escort GL with 1.3 and 1.6-litre engines and as> sporty fuel injection modeit-based upon the Escort XR3i.
Also on display was the extensively revised 1984 Ford Fiesta. It has a redesigned bodyshell, instrument layout and dashboard as well as a new heating and ventilation system. There art five engines rang-r/ ing in capacity from 957 cujr cm to 1.6 litres.
