Liver surgery a success
NZPA Peking Chinese doctors have successfully removed an 800 g liver cancer from a boy, aged one, whose parents went to Shanghai after reading about a similar success there, a Shanghai newspaper reports. The boy, now aged 13 months, is likely to leave the hospital soon after recovering from surgery on October 15, said the “Liberation Daily.” The paper did not identify the parents, but said they were foreigners of Chinese descent and were unable to obtain treatment for their son’s liver cancer in the place where they lived.
