Denial of arson at clubrooms
A sawmill hand, aged 19, pleaded not guilty when he appeared in the District Court at Rangiora yesterday charged with arson. Before Judge Hattaway was Richard William Howard, of Waiau. He was charged that on September 17 he wilfully set fire to the clubrooms of the Waiau . Tennis Club. Howard was remanded to. December 7. Bail was re-= newed.
