Tweedie selected
The national women’s road running champion, Anne-Marie Tweedie, has been selected in the New Zealand women’s team to compete in the world 10km road championship in California early next month. Tweedie, who runs for the University club in Christchurch, was a surprise winner of the championship last month. The others in
the team are Lorraine Moller, Heather Thomson and Glenys Quick. Tweedie says she has no intention of qualifying for the women’s marathon at Los Angeles next August, but will be trying to gain selection for the New Zealand women’s team for the world cross-country championship in New York next
