Service for the uniformed

A service for people in uniform will be held at St Barnabas’ Church, Fendalton, at 11 a.m. on Sunday. The annual service used to be known as the Seafarers’ Service but was recently expanded to embrace the Day of Remembrance and includes all the Armed Services and other uniformed organisations. Padre L. F. Allison, of tne cadet forces, will take the service, and music will be provided by the Christchurch Police Band.
