Labour choice
The chairman of. the ; Labour Party’s Fendalton electorate committee, Mr Murray Dobson, was chosen as the party’s election candidate for Fendalton at a selection meeting in Christchurch last evening. His was the only nomination. Mr Dobson, aged 38, is a lecturer in social science at the University of Canterbury. Until the latest local body elections he was a member of the Christchurch Drainage Board and the Lyttelton Harbour Board.
