Queen’s Pal will continue her preparation for the New Zealand Cup meeting with a run at the Gore trials this week.
Queen’s Pal has put on condition since finishing a close second to Every Show over 1200 m at Orari on October 15.
On Tuesday at Wingatui she worked over two laps on a deep sand and sprinted her last 800 m in 53.55, the final 600 in 40s. She has the
Churchill Stakes (1600 m next week as her next assignment. ’

Decieboy and Seafarer ran 800 m in 52.45, the last 600 in . 39.25. Decieboy will be bn trial for the Two Thousand Guineas when he contests the Lonies Handicap at Riccarton on Saturday. Lynvari and Irish Note
ran 800 m in 535, the last 600 in 39.85. Lynvari, which was. checked in her race at Wyndham on Saturday, won in Imin 8.79 s for 1200 m on the first day of the New Zealand cup meeting 12 months ago. Hills Peak was inclined to loaf when sent over 800 m and he returned 54.4 s and 40.75. Hills Peak has a crack growing out of a front hoof and his owner-trainer, “Snow” Fraser, believes it could soon force the speedy
three-year-old out for a long spell. Justa Pique bled last week and he has been put aside by Arthur Didham, jun., for a long spell. Justa Pique had three wins, a second and a fourth from six starts last season. Berkowitz has resumed work with Didham, who plans to start Katiki Bay on the final day of the New Zealand cup meeting. Katiki Bay has not raced since he won fresh up at Wingatui on October 1.
