Only four changes to All Black team
From
DON CAMERON,
in Gateshead
The All Blacks have made only four changes in the team to play the formidable Northern Division team at Gateshead early on Thursday morning from the side which triumphed, 30-9, over South of Scotland at the week-end. Craig Green, the Canterbury utility player, has come into centre in place of Steven Pokere and two other Canterbury backs, Robbie Deans and Wayne Smith, have moved into the backline. In the forwards Alistair Robinson will lock in place of Gary Braid. Stuart Wilson, the captain, and Mark Shaw, the forward leader, will be the only two players to appear in all three matches so far.
Not surprisingly, there has been only one change in the forward pack which played so well against South of Scotland and in fact the pack to play Northern may well be retained
for the two tests of this tour. The team is: Robbie Deans, Bernie Fraser, Craig Green, Stuart Wilson, Warwick Taylor, Wayne Smith, Andrew Donald, Murray Mexted, Jock Hobbs, Albert Anderson, Alistair Robinson, Mark Shaw, Murray Davie, Hika Reid, Brian McGrattan. Reserves: David Kirk, lan Dunn, Kieran Crowley, Brett Wilson, Kevin Boroevich, Geoff Old.
