Six priests ordained at Chch
Six new Anglican priests were ordained at Christchurch Cathedral last evening. They are, from left, The Revs Mac Kaa, John Gray, Shirley Greenwood, Clarice Greenslade, Allan Wasley and Leon Fox.
Messrs Gray and Kaa were ordained to a selfsupporting order, and will
work in the Phillipstown Maori Mission.
The other priests will return to the parishes -in which they had been serving as deacons.
The Bishop of Christchurch, the Rt Rev. W. A. Pyatt, and the Bishop of Aotearoa, the Rt Rev. W. Vercoe, officiated at the ceremony.
