Dog surgery again
PA Auckland Luke, the police dog shot in the left foreleg by a gunman in Auckland on Thursday, underwent surgery for three hours yesterday. A Herne Bay veterinary
surgeon, Mr Tom Henderson, described the surgery as reasonably successful but said amputation might yet be necessary. Shotgun pellets shattered the bone, the sun -unding muscle and nerve tissue of the dog’s leg.
