Paddington Bear appeals to children to look after him on a visit to a party held in the children’s library at the Canterbury Public Library yesterday to mark his twenty-fifth birthday. Children were invited to take their favourite teddy bear to join in activities that included Paddington films and stories, and eatinng marmalade tartlets. About 130 children attended. The Paddington books were written by Michael Bond.
