Fall down bluff
A Papanui man, John Stanley King, aged 20, was admitted to Christchurch Hospital yesterday for observation after he was found lying beneath a bluff near the Sumner Road on the Port Hills. Mr King was found by a six-man search and rescue team after a Lyttelton police patrol found his
van abandoned on the road at 10.30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mr King was found at 11.35 a.m. yesterday at Sticking Point, suffering from exposure and cuts. The police said he was disorientated and depressed. It is believed Mr King fell down a 7m bluff overlooking Lyttelton Harbour.
