FIRE PREVENTION OFFICER QUALIFICATIONS: The position requires the successful applicant to possess a sound knowledge, coupled with practical experience, of Fire r Prevention and protection measures. Ability to organise and supervise fire drills as well as fire prevention is a prerequisite. It is desired that the appointee be either a member or be eligible for membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (Great Britain) or has passed the N.Z. Fire Service Examinations. The successful > applicant should have undertaken or be willing 1 to undertake the advanced Diploma of Nursing or its equivalent, should be interested in ciient- : centred care and in teaching students of Midwifery Nursing and Medical Programmes. CLOSING DATE: 21-10-83. 2. CHARGE NURSE - NEWBORN UNIT QUALIFICATIONS: RGON or RCPN preferably with Midwifery and/or an Advanced Diploma of Nursing - Maternal and Child Health. Applicants must have had at least two years experience in Intensive Special Care Nursing of Sick and Small Neonates and be prepared to provide with four other Charge Nurses, cover over 24 hours in this busy Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The successful applicant must be interested in teaching in the Inservice Education programme, in orientating new staff and in teaching students and parents. CLOSING DATE: 21-10-83. 3. STAFF NURSES/MIDWIVES Staff Nurses are required for Newborn Unit, Postnatal Wards and Delivery Suite in this modern busy base Obstetric Unit. RGON or RCPN and Midwifery qualification is essential for position in Delivery Suite and desirable in Newborn Unit and Postnatal Wards.
