Further success for leading sire The wins of Parisian Glory and Plimsoll at Auckland last Saturday night must have pleased Mark Lobell, close to the top of the season’s list of pacing sires currently in service in New Zealand. Already this season he has left six individual winners of 10 races, namely Parisian Knight (3), Plimsoll (2), Belle Fillette (2), Margaret Dale, Boreas and Parisian Glory. The results underline Mark Lobell’s unusual but particular ability to leave race-winning mares as half of the above are females. As yet last season’s top performers, Royal Mark, Prince Sharvid and Koala Tabella, have yet to appear. With the very talented Wet Again and Karena seemingly recovered after long lay-offs, Mark Lobell seems set for a most successful season. With 25 on the list, Mark Lobell is a top percentage sire of 2.00 performers. In fact, of those sires with more than 100 progeny three years and over, Mark Lobell is probably the top such sire outside the United States. His fee, $lOOO, L.F.G., is among the lowest of the proven sires available. Contact: N. S. BENNY, Spring Park, SPRINGSTON. PHONE 295-635 Advt
