Open handicappers for jumping careers

Special correspondent

Cambridge

Oakdale and Wren’s Pride, which have both won good races on the flat, are likely to have their first races over hurdles in the Mount Denby Brush Hurdles at Ruakaka

Both horses have been well schooled. Kerry Trillo,

who has educated Wren’s Pride in his new role, has the mount. Trainer Chris Wood, who said that his charge is “a bit smart” as a jumper, will ride Oakdale. Both Wood and Wren’s Pride’s trainer, Nigel Landers, said that they also have in mind qualifying the two horses for highweight racing.
