Five arrested after fracas

Five persons were arrested after a fracas developed when the police were called to eject a man from the public bar of the Admiral Lodge in Pages Road, Aranui, early last evening. The five, in their mid-20s, will appear in the District Court this morning charged with injuring a policeman, assaulting a policeman, disorderly behaviour, and obstructing a policeman. The police said that some glassware and furniture in the bar were broken, but noone was hurt About 12 policemen were sent to the hotel to deal with the incident, which occurred at 5.15 pan.
